Dear Friends:

I know that many of you are undoubtedly also turning your thoughts to what will church life and school life look like when we return over the summer and into the fall.

As you may have noted, we have been proactive in making our plans and we are all still exploring various models and schedules that might be feasible and would still allow for adequate distancing to lessen risk of exposure at both the parish and school levels.

For the Parish, our plans for chairs and not pews, brief medical questions to gauge any possible exposure, no-contact temperature checks, and adding a Fourth Sunday Mass (12 Noon) to limit our total person count to about 25 people per Mass, are all in keeping with what our health officials have requested. We have also been asked to maintain a list of attendees; not to be sued unless an illness is detected for contact tracing. We are pleased to comply because we are a community of faith that loves one another deeply. We have also added sanitizer stations and increased the ways in which we can worship, pray, and study together! What we have done has not been inexpensive, but it is so worth any cost because every one of our lives – and every visitor – are valuable!

At the School level, we are also looking at different scheduling, distancing options, as well as staggering arrivals and dismissals to lessen the number of students together, traveling in hallways, lunchtime, recess, cleanliness and hygiene issues for a possible June return. Further, we are currently adding a full handicap restroom to the lower school level to permit less congestion. While an unexpected cost, much like becoming a RAVE Facility for safety, nothing would be worth the risk of a child or educator’s life. Moreover, the County has asked us to continue our plans for Summer Camp, which will follow our Child Care guidelines. We are still hoping to open in July.

Our Sanctuary Renovations are amazing and right on track and producing an experiencing even beyond my expectations and insight! I am sure you will also be amazed when we gather to worship again! Please sponsor a chair or two by visit Here! We need your support!
