Welcome Letter from Our Pastor

Dear Friends,

Saint Miriam is an Old Catholic Franciscan Parish Community located in Flourtown, PA, right outside greater Philadelphia. We operate a parish, school, historic cemetery, retreat center, and an award winning outreach to those experiencing homelessness. We are conveniently located close to the Turnpike and routes 202, 309, and Germantown Pike. Our church is part of more than 2,000 years of history of the greater Catholic Church universal. We welcome your questions and your seeking truthful answers.

Today’s world is full of believers and non-believers. But it is also filled with people who wish to hold on to their roots and honor the way they feel today. At Saint Miriam, we have learned that being Catholic can also mean being inclusive, loving, and welcoming of everyone wherever they might be on their journey toward God.

So today you actually made the first step, probably after years of searching, and took the plunge into the world wide web. And, where did you land? Well, right on the best place to be, of course…Saint Miriam! You see, yes we are a Catholic Parish, but one that is for all people, regardless of where they are in their life’s journey. We simply welcome everyone. There are no exceptions!

If you are considering joining us for a service, we make you this promise: from the moment you step into our parish, you will feel welcomed and at home, even if this is your first church, or if you have belonged to any others in your journey. So why not come and check us out?

You might just find a place to call home! A true place of more than welcome, but a place of actual belonging!

I promise a wonderful church experience and personal reply from me!

Welcome Home!

(The Right Reverend) Monsignor James Michael St. George, Pastor, OSF, OCR, MS, MDiv, B.C.E.T.S
