Hope in the Night – Feb 1 through March 1

Join us staring this Sunday February 1st and through March 1st as we honor Back History Month and lead into Lent together with a special series we will entitle: Hope in the Night: God Still Hears Our Cry, This is the Moment: We can all do something.

We include special music taken from Black Spirituals along with prayer and hymns and time to sit and reflect on all that has become of our nation. We will honor your fears and find hope together. Join us!

Together we will:

  • Lift Black spirituals as prayer
  • Name fear and uncertainty with honesty
  • Stand with those who feel vulnerable or forgotten
  • Proclaim hope that endurance, even in darkness

In a world where many are afraid—of division, of erasure, of government power—we gather as God’s people to remember, to pray, and to trust that God still hears our cry.

Sung Prayer | Justice | Peace | Hope

All are welcome. No one walks alone.

We are all tired. This country must change course. We must acknowledge the complicity of the Church. Catholics contributed to this mess so now we must repent and become facilitators of justice and hope.

We must take a stand. Now!

This season we are about to embark on will be one where we gather and honor Black History Month and tie within our liturgies a way to allow people to feel heard, to share their fear and grief and to find a way forward. In Song. In prayer. In worship. Together.

It’s time. We’re tired. We won’t lose our humanity. We won’t.

The Devil’s greatest strength was in one of his titles. The Scatterer.
