As a soley member-supported Franciscan Catholic parish community, we recognize the importance of giving of our time, talent and treasure to further the kingdom of God, as we are called. With this mandate in mind, in the winter of 2009, the Parish Board of Directors, at the direction and urging of our pastor, ratified the giving of an annual award to recognize the person, or persons who best exemplified sacrificial giving within our community.
This award, named after our late benefactor, local artist Raymond Leight, Jr., features one of his paintings and is awarded annually at the New Year’s Day Mass — The Octave Day of Christmas — The Solomnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God.
All are welcome to join us!
