Join Us – The National Eucharistic Revival

“When you approach the tabernacle remember that he has been waiting for you for twenty centuries.”

– St. Josemaria Escriva

Saint Miriam joins this effort to bring a real and active appreciation for the Blessed Eucharist. Monsignor Jim asked that Celebrants and Ministry Team members, along with Seminarians and those in process toward ordination, begin to come up with ideas, homilies, small groups, and activities to reflect this vital understanding our faith to bring about a renewal of this central focus of our Catholic faith and traditions! Watch for more details coming and pray for the Holy Church and for Vocations.

Saint Miriam has always held to the core traditions of our Holy Church, from Rosary to Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament to The Celebration of the Sacrifice of the Mass to 40-Hour Devotions.

This is why we have chosen to participate in the National Eucharistic Revival that began with The Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

Why?

Because we truly believe that The Holy Eucharist: The source and summit of our faith!

This effort is to address the dispiriting results of a Pew Research Study that found a significant number of Catholics in the United States who attend Mass weekly still do not believe that Christ is truly present in body, blood, soul, and divinity within the Blessed Sacrament.

This Eucharistic Revival is a three-year journey that will culminate in a National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis in July 2024. The intent is simple: We all hope the Eucharist will become a regular event in the life of the Church as we fuel the fire of a deeper faith in the Eucharist into the future, especially as we make our way back following a terrible pandemic.

Our encounter with the Person of Christ in the Eucharist must go deeper. The more deeply we encounter Christ in the Eucharist, the more our lives will reflect that encounter and we will become better Christians. When Christ in the Eucharist is the center of our existence, those around us will know and desire their own deeper encounter with Our Lord.

That’s why over the coming year, we will offer meaningful opportunities to deepen your faith and experience the Presence of God.

We will begin with a custom designed Reliquary Cabinet to house our Monstrance and our St Francis Relic to match our custom liturgical furniture from the nation’s premier church furniture manufacturer, New Holland Church Furniture!

Let the National Eucharistic Revival BEGIN!
